As a noob myself i agree that the skill system here really sucks, im about to hit 1.6 mill and the numbers evemon is showing me is really putting me off.. All you veterans i couldnt care less that you been playing since 2003 it makes no difference and you dont necerserialy know better..
Why should i have to grind for 1 or 2 years to be able to pvp in a pvp game? Something is wrong..
I have been playing 20 odd days and i might end up quiting, i dont want to as this looks like a great game i just dont have a year to waste waiting, obviously some people do..

I am noob also grrrrr ^^
I have been playing about 35 days and have 2 characters..
My first has basic learning skills upto about lvl 3 i think, once i hit 1.6mil sp i was like omfg this is crap it now sits at 1.7mill whilst im working on a new charcter that will have 4/4 learning..
IF i never had the time or patience to start a second character i would have left Eve, IF this new charecter still takes to long to train then i may still leave..
This game needs big changes, screw all the veteran players there just jelouse cos they never had it in there day!! If it was me i would upset 20k high sp players, to gain 100k new players..
I think in Eve we should be able to fly EVERY SHIP and fit EVERY piece of equipment as in rl... All skills should do is give us the abillity to use it well......
Something needs fixing cos this isa great game going to waste

Oh good I just saw an advert looking a pilot for commercial airplane, I have a drivers license that means I can just jump in and fly it, doesn't it ? Or maybe you would like to adjust your statement a bit if you're going to bring RL into this.
The rookie ship teaches you to fly yes? soo why is a battleship harder to fly? I say we should be able to jump into a BS and perhaps the skills to fly it make it more agile, faster, better resouce usage..
If you have a frigate with small fittings... WHY is it so much trainging to use large fittings in a BS?? Faulty game mechanics here..
If you want to talk about your rl license.. You can drive a car yes?? Thne you can drive a lorry to.. atleast get it moveing, steer and stop it..

Are you willing to sacrifice 3-4 months of nothing but money grinding in a new game for a gain 2 years from now?
Sorry all, multiquote wasnt working.. My problem is i have huge amounts of isk already, i have found i got a natural talent when it comes to tradeing in EVE.. I make alot of isk very quickly... This again is another problem, i got isk and can do nothing with it..
As for implants i dont see the value of investing 100s mill isk now to gain in 2 years!! I want instant gratification and months of skill training dont cut it..
Perhaps this is a problem with EVE?? People come to play a great game ruined by ridiculsly long training times... Its really really to long.

Well its not a vast wealth compared to you guys :) i could stretch to +5s but wouldnt leave me poor lols.. It would put me in a position where i would have to grind again..
Also i have been poded 2 or 3 times already so i would cry if i had that much invested in implants (dont yet fully understand jump clones)..
Dont get me wrong i love games that are stat heavy also love the game Eve is/could be to me.. I just feel Eve is perhaps a bit to skill reliant..
Imagine an Eve where noobs fly about in low skilled weak BS/hulks we would die so easy and cause a increase in demand for ships and equipment therefore increaseing prices maybe even balanceing out ore being mined so its not so worthless..
I tthink there is an overhaul due and im gonna stick around a little longer to see what happens :)
